OldRust (“we”, “our”, “us”, the “Project”) respects users’ privacy and strives to ensure appropriate protection of personal data.

This Privacy Policy describes what data may be collected and processed when using the OldRust website, launcher, game servers, in-game store, and other OldRust services, the purposes for which such data is used, to whom it may be disclosed, and what rights users have with respect to their personal data.

For questions related to the processing of personal data, users may contact the OldRust administration through the Project’s official communication channels.

1. Data We May Collect

Depending on the OldRust services used, we may receive and process the following data:

  • Steam nickname;
  • Steam ID / SteamID64;
  • IP address;
  • information about connections to OldRust services;
  • information about the version of the game and launcher being used;
  • technical information about the device, operating system, and software;
  • diagnostic data and error logs;
  • technical data necessary for the operation of security and anti-cheat systems;
  • login and connection history for OldRust services;
  • information about purchases and payments made in our in-game store oldrust.store, to the extent necessary to process orders, provide purchased goods and services, and resolve payment-related matters;
  • information voluntarily provided by the user when contacting support or interacting with the OldRust administration.

We may receive such data, in particular:

  • when signing in on the OldRust website or launcher;
  • when connecting to OldRust game servers;
  • when using the OldRust launcher;
  • when using the in-game store oldrust.store;
  • when contacting support;
  • when using website features and other Project services;
  • during the automatic operation of security and anti-cheat systems.

2. Purposes of Data Processing

  • ensuring the operation of the website, launcher, and game servers;
  • ensuring the proper operation of game functionality;
  • processing purchases made in the in-game store oldrust.store;

  • diagnosing and resolving technical errors;
  • ensuring the security of OldRust services;
  • detecting technical interference and prohibited software;

Such information is used primarily to diagnose issues, ensure compatibility, prevent abuse, and maintain the security of OldRust infrastructure.

4. Anti-Cheat and Security Systems

OldRust may use proprietary or third-party anti-cheat and technical protection systems.

As part of the operation of such systems, technical data necessary to detect prohibited software, unauthorized interference with the game client, file modifications, attempts to bypass technical restrictions, and other potential security threats may be processed automatically.

Data processed by anti-cheat systems may include information about:

  • the device’s software environment;
  • running processes or software components to the extent necessary for the operation of the protection system;
  • integrity of game client files;
  • version and state of the game client;
  • technical connection parameters;
  • identifiers of the device or software environment, where such identifiers are used by the security system;
  • technical events related to possible violations;
  • other parameters necessary to detect interference with the operation of the game or the protection system.

OldRust strives to limit the processing of such data to the scope necessary to ensure Project security and the operation of anti-cheat systems.

Information obtained by security systems is not intended for purposes unrelated to protection, security, investigation of technical violations, and prevention of abuse.

5. Confidentiality of Anti-Cheat Technology

A user’s right to obtain information about their personal data does not imply an obligation to disclose source code, algorithms, signatures, heuristics, detection methods, threshold values, internal configurations, technical documentation, or other information regarding the functioning of anti-cheat and security systems.

Disclosure of such information may reveal the operating principles of protection systems, facilitate circumvention, or create a security risk for OldRust and its users.

If a user request concerns such technical information, OldRust may, to the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • exclude information that reveals the design or operation of protection systems from the materials provided;
  • redact certain technical values;
  • provide the relevant information in an aggregated or generalized form.

At the same time, the user retains the right to obtain information about their personal data and its processing to the extent provided by applicable law.

6. Purchase and Payment Information

When making purchases in the in-game store oldrust.store, OldRust may use third-party payment providers.

OldRust may receive and store information about:

  • the fact that a payment was made;
  • transaction identifier;
  • date and time of the transaction;
  • purchased product or service;
  • payment amount;
  • payment currency;
  • transaction status.

This information may be used for:

  • processing and confirming an order;
  • providing the purchased in-game item, service, or privilege;

Full bank card details, including the full card number and security code, are generally processed directly by the payment provider and are not transmitted to OldRust, unless otherwise expressly provided by the payment method used.

OldRust does not sell users’ personal data.

In certain cases, data may be disclosed to third-party services and contractors to the extent necessary for the operation of the Project.

Such recipients may include:

  • payment providers;
  • hosting providers;
  • CDN and file delivery services;

  • network attack protection services;

  • other contractors necessary for the operation of OldRust.

OldRust may use third-party services, including Steam, payment systems, CDNs, hosting providers, and other technical platforms.

When navigating to a third-party resource or using a third-party service, the processing of information may also be governed by the privacy policy of the relevant provider.

OldRust does not control how independent third-party services process personal data.

13. Changes to the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically.

The current version of the Policy is published on OldRust’s official resources.

The date of the latest update is stated at the beginning of the document.

In the event of material changes, OldRust may additionally notify users through available means.
